Cookie notice

What cookies and similar technologies we use on this site, why, and how you can manage your preferences.

Last updated: 5 June 2026

1. The short version

This site sets only essential cookies by default. Optional analytics cookies are not currently used. If we add an analytics product in future where consent is required, we will ask you on arrival. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer.

2. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to remember things about your visit. Similar technologies, such as localStorage and pixel beacons, may also store information on or access information from your device. Where they do, they are treated in a similar way to cookies under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003. Where personal data is processed, UK GDPR may also apply.

3. Cookies set by this site

Cookie / token Purpose Category Duration
vc_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage) Records your cookie preferences so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Essential 6 months

This is the only client-side storage item set by VulaCap on this site. The hosting platform (Netlify) does not currently set cookies on this site. If that changes, we will update this notice.

4. Analytics — the current position

We do not currently set analytics cookies by default. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will only set them where required after you have given consent, unless an applicable PECR exemption applies. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA) introduced new exemptions under PECR for certain low-risk purposes, such as statistical measurement and certain functionality cookies, subject to the conditions in s.6 of PECR (as amended). Where any future analytics product fits cleanly inside that exemption, we may set it without consent provided we tell you clearly and you can opt out easily. Where it does not, we will continue to ask for consent first.
